Monday Motivation

by - August 15, 2016

Words can't express how much I love this. There are way too many people in this world doing things for the wrong reasons, namely to get above other people. But life is absolutely not worth living if the only things we're striving for are those that we see our neighbors doing. Remember how your mom used to ask if all your friends jumped off a bridge...? Same principle applies here. Just because something works for one person doesn't mean it will work for you. What makes one person happy or successful or whatever won't necessarily do the same for you. So quit trying to keep up with the Joneses and start trying to pass yourself.

Happy Monday!

  1. Hi, Ashton!

I agree. I watched an interview with motivational speaker Tony Robbins the other day in which he emphasized the same principle. Don't fret over the other guy. Live up to your own potential. Be your personal best - the best version of yourself that you can be. Be whoever and whatever it is that makes you happy. To grow you need to be willing to stretch. At first stretching might feel uncomfortable but, when you make a habit of it and reap the rewards, there is no greater feeling.

Have a wonderful week, dear friend Ashton!
